Like most start-ups, the new venture on North Avenue comes with its share of financial risk. Assessing that risk is difficult, because this enterprise is one of a kind — at least in Vermont.
It is a primary-care group practice run by nurse practitioners, without the oversight of a physician. That's unusual enough, but even more so is that this clinic has an educational side as well: the seven primary care-givers are all faculty members at the University of Vermont College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
