2009 Nurse Practitioner of Year Capital Chapter
The Capital Chapter, NPA announces that Arlene Pericak NP is being homored as the 2009 Nurse Practitioner of the Year. She received this award for excellence in service to the chapter and education of nurse practitioners. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the NPA and and the Capital Chapter. She is the Regional Representive for Northeastern New York. She has been an active member of the NPA since 1993. She also served on the Legislative Committee and as Secretary for the Nurse Practitioner Association.
Ms Pericak is an Assistant Professor of Nursing and Director of the Graduate Program at Sage Colleges. She has been instrumental in educating many of the Capital Region’s Nurse Practitioners since 1992. She is completing a Doctor of Arts Degee in Humanistic Studies at SUNY Albany. She obtained a post graduate teaching certificate at the University of Pensylvania in 1995. Arlene received a MS at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 1988. Ms. Pericak graduated from UMass Boston and Memorial School of Nursing in Albany.
