Dr. Ken Miller, AANP president, wrote a letter to the editor-in-chief of AARP The Magazine regarding a misleading portrayal of nurse practitioners that appeared in the December/2014 – January/2015 edition. While we are appreciative of all the support that AARP has given to the nurse practitioner role at national and state levels, we were concerned about information contained in the "Who's Who in Your Doctor's Office" infographic. We believe that AARP would want their readers to have the most accurate information available to them when choosing their health care provider and hope that AARP will consider a more in-depth story on NPs in the near future.
