Important Kansas Legislative Information

Kansas City, MO
The Greater Kansas City Chapter of NAPNAP

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I wanted to bring your attention to some amazing news for APRN's in Kansas.....our proposed bill for APRN Scope of Practice has been introduced in the House and Senate! First introduced in the Senate, the Bill has been titled SB69 (hyperlink below). The companion bill was introduced this week in the House and is titled HB2122 (hyperlink below). This is a big step in the direction of removing barriers to practice and access to health care for Kansans.

If there was ever a time where you had an inkling to contact your representatives NOW is the time. There is significant power in numbers...numbers of letters of support, stories of your practice challenges and successes, letters of testimony......there is power in numbers of emails regaling the benefits of APRN's in Kansas...there is power in numbers of people (APRNs, Friends, Family, patients) making the effort to visit the Capital, meet with legislators, Senators or simply attend the hearing and support the hard work of the few that have moved us forward to this point.

Please find below your once in a lifetime opportunities to "Be the Change" in Kansas! Here are the dates that you can help make history. Choose one or two or choose them all.
