We realize that many of our members in the tri-state area have patients, family members, friends, and loved ones who are still coping and trying to navigate their way through the incredibly difficult situations brought on by Hurricane Sandy. We have donated time, money, and other needed items to those around the country who have experienced similar hardships, and we are so warmed and proud to know that so many of those donations from around the country are now coming toward those of us in this area who are in need.
Today, we are introducing The NPA CARES, a fund to collect financial donations on behalf of The NPA to the American Red Cross. With National Nurse Practitioner Week slated for November 11th – 17th, we could think of no better way to honor our profession than to contribute to those in dire need of the essentials. We are proud to announce that The NPA will match member contributions, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. Our goal is to collect $10,000 in contributions and present the Red Cross with a check for $20,000. Donations will begin today November 7th, 2012, and run until Sunday November 25th, 2012. Donate via our website, thenpa.org or you can send a check to: 12 Corporate Drive, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
Please take this time to help out our fellow New Yorkers in need and thank you in advance for caring.
FOR THE MOHAWK VALLEY CHAPTER: The chapter is donating $250.00 and is encouraging any donations you may be considering to apply via our state organization. The NPA is matching all contributions. Thank you.
