Kognito, founded in 2003 and based in New York, is an immersive-learning company in  health, behavioral health, and education (www.kognito.com). Kognito was awarded a grant to develop a simulation that uses  emotionally responsive virtual humans to improve  communication between patients and healthcare professionals. We will be portraying a realistic conversation where a patient and a healthcare professional discuss treatment options, and we want to hear from NPs: as you see it, what are the obstacles to collaborative  communication? What attitudes and  communication skills should we be addressing?
