A "Greener Chapter"

The NPA Mohawk Valley Chapter

Over the past year the Mohawk Valley Chapter of the NPA has been moving toward a greener organization. With the increased use of technology our web site over the past year has been evolving to meet this goal. All announcements, meeting minutes and invites now are originated from our member data base. The use of such technology allows us to work smarter and not harder to achieve the optimal outcomes. The RSVP feature for events gives our sponsors real time updates of those attending and prevents word of mouth no shows. The biggest challenge has been updating members who do not keep their email or contact information current both with the chapter and state NPA. We have gone from about 40 bounce back emails per month to around 10. The recent survey provided us with some valuable comments and suggestions. With our real time notifications there is no reason for anyone to be left out of the loop. I'm hoping that 2010 will be an active membership year for the chapter as the state NPA pursues an aggressive legislative agenda. If any member is going to be doing any events and would like them posted please email them to me and I would gladly post them.

Best Wishes,
