The next stop for Senate Bill 614 (Senator Grimsley's Bill for Controlled Substance Prescribing for NPs & PAs) is the Senate Rules Committee which is one of 21 standing committees in the Florida State Senate. It must pass out of this committee at the hearing on MONDAY 4/20/15 at 1 PM if we are to get this bill heard in Session. We cannot let it fail or die in this committee. This bill has passed in 2 other committees since it was filed on 2/2/15.  The vote in Health Policy on 3/17 was very close-4 Yeas/3 Nays. The Regulated Industries Committee voted more in favor with 8 yeas/2 Nays on 3/31/15. The vote tally we expect from the Rules members is going to be close. We need to gain more support from these members.

The Rules Committee examines legislation on various legal and public impact subject areas. We need every one to Act Now and write to all of the following Senator's and ask them to Vote YES for SB 614 and why! Short, sweet and respectful emails are needed. After you write to all the entire Rules Committee, then write your own Senator as the constituent and ask them to support this needed bill.
