Although this news is not new by any means to the medical community, it is good to be reminded of.  Please read the article below (and print for patients if needed) which explains how the journal Lancet finally has made a "Formal Retraction" of the contraversial article written in 1998 by Andrew Wakefield causing the Autism/MMR vaccine scare.

Lancet retracts study linking autism, MMR vaccine
A 1998 research paper that suggested a link between the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine and autism and bowel disease was formally retracted by The Lancet on Tuesday after the lead author was discredited.
