Professional Achievements:
I have been working in behavioral sciences since 2008, and in behavioral health specifically since 2013. I made the leap from master's level counselor to registered nurse when I completed my MSN at Johns Hopkins University, receiving a scholarship and a patient safety fellowship. Since graduating in 2017 I have been working as an inpatient psychiatric nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and now at St. Joseph's Hospital Behavioral Health Center in Tampa.
Favorite Thing About My Profession:
I love working in behavioral health nursing because we are able to provide a level of understanding that society so often does not afford our patients due to stigma.
Virtues:
Humility and safety are paramount. If we do not provide evidence-based care with the most dignity as possible, then who will?
