Career as an Army Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
Blending of two specialty areas to help those with cognitive disorders: Family Practice & Psych/Mental Health.
Serving as a Neuropsychiatric Consultant for those with psychiatric disorders, medical conditions, and cognitive impairments. Because I am semi-retired and self-employed, I have the luxury of time, and will use my time to help others achieve their goals and optimal levels function. It has also been a privilege to serve others in their greatest times of need and as they approach the end of life.
Favorite Thing About My Profession:
Opportunities for interconnectedness with people from all walks of life.
Caring for and about families.
The benefit that my education, training, experience, and actions has brought and can continue to bring to others.
I am a proponent of client-centered, family-inclusive, comprehensive and integrated health care.
When a patient and I can jointly envision a positive direction or outcome -- I can be very tenacious in helping them achieve their goals.
