Professional Achievements:
I have been an Emergency Department nurse for 19 years and currently work as an ICU nurse while continuing my education towards FNP certification. My greatest professional achievements have been attaining my national certifications in Emergency Nursing, Pediatric Emergency Nursing, and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse.
I am currently attending Maryville University to obtain my MSN and become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have enjoyed my clinical experiences in family practice and internal medicine thus far. I look forward to a variety of experiences and opportunities to learn.
Favorite Thing About My Profession:
In emergency nursing, I am able to be a part of the entire life span and almost every scenario imaginable. I love that my day is never the same and there is a constant opportunity for learning. I have enjoyed seeing the next generation of nurses begin their careers and am passionate about encouraging them so they can love their job just as much as I do.
