Info
Topic
This class will help the learner confidently distinguish: Streptococcal pharyngitis versus viral pharyngitis (think again: it's not as easy as a rapid strep test!); Acute otitis media versus otitis media with effusion; Urinary tract infection versus vulvitis (in the young female) or subclinical balanitis (in the uncircumcised young male); Bronchiolitis versus asthma versus pneumonia (will review all 3 general categories of pneumonia). In addition to discerning the proper diagnoses for each chief complaint, we will review the latest recommendations in treatment. After all, you must have the proper diagnosis to properly proceed with treatment!
