Maurice Landers was born and raised in MS however, he got to Texas as soon as he could. He graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1994. He worked as a pharmacist in a variety of positions, including retail, hospital, and long-term care, before deciding to explore another medical area. In 1998, he joined the third class of the University of South Alabama Physician Assistant program. Maurice graduated and completed his certification in 2000. He then joined the faculty of the Hampton University School of Pharmacy, where he was voted Professor of the Year twice during his three years on the faculty. In 2003, Maurice transitioned to the industry and has held the medical science liaison role for several companies over the years. Maurice recently celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise, accompanied by his wife and two children.
