Speakers
Jessica Zemlak, PhD, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is an Associate Professor at Marquette University and a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience in underserved and community-based settings. Her research focuses on sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, and the socio-structural determinants of health among marginalized women, including women who sell sex and women who use drugs. Using mixed-methods and community-engaged approaches, her work examines how violence, stigma, and access barriers shape health. Her research aims to inform trauma-informed, equity-centered clinical practice and improve access to care for populations at the healthcare margins.
