Owner and provider at Headache and Wellness Center of Southwest Louisiana

I am the founder of the Headache and Wellness Center of SWLA, located in Lake Charles, LA. Headache and Wellness is the focus of the center and I am proud to be the patient provider of the center. I have sat on an advisory board for a migraine medication that brought great insight into the drug and it’s usefulness in migraine management. I am an active member of the American Headache Society and the Southern Headache Society through which I have participated in multiple conferences, most notably the Scottsdale Headache Symposium and the Southern Headache Society Annual Scientific Meeting. My history includes being a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for the past 5 years and a Registered Nurse for nearly 14 years before that. The majority of my registered nursing experience was in the Intensive Care Unit. I have also worked in various other areas of nursing: radiology clinic nurse, LPN instructor, Cardiology Clinic nurse, and as an Emergency Room nurse in a mostly pediatric population hospital. I look forward to seeing what the world of healthcare has in store for the future of Nurse Practitioners everywhere that is why I am an active member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. I am also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. I also hold membership in the Sigma Theta Tau honor society. I remain supportive of my alma mater, McNeese State University, where I am an active member of the alumni association. In my free time I enjoy being the mother of three wonderful children and the wife to my handsome husband. I am active in my local church and support the community by volunteering.
