A Brief Overview
Under the direction and supervision of a collaborative physician and practicing APP, the APP Fellow-CRNP is a trainee. The APP Clinical Immersion program provides mentoring, didactic teaching, simulation skills training, and experience to prepare the APP Fellow to become a competent inpatient hospital provider. Throughout the program, the APP Fellow will become responsible for the direct care and follow up of a population of patients that matches his/her skill set, through the designated curriculum and timelines. The components of the role include education, clinical practice, consultation, and professional development.

What You Will Do
- Under the direct guidance and supervision of the Attending Physician and/or Hospital Provider:
- Participates in the APP Clinical Immersion program educational curriculum. Completes post-tests and evaluations as a measure of competence.
- Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate educational offerings.
- As a part of the learning process, will utilize advanced assessment skills to support the management of a cohort of patients. Performs and documents daily assessments.
- As a trainee, works collaboratively to communicate the plan of care and potential changes to this plan to the supervising physician and assigned hospital provider.
- Collects and analyzes data and formulates a family-centered plan of care. Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment plan.
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety by speaking up about safety issues and changing practices to enhance safety. Shares errors or potential errors through system reporting mechanisms.
- Demonstrates shared accountability for safe practice.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Master's Degree Nursing Required
- Ability to work in a team setting with multiple responsibilities. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively. (Required proficiency)
- Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Board of Licensing - - Preferred
- Primary Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – CPNP-PC - Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) - - Preferred
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care (CPNP-AC) - Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) - - Preferred
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Board of Licensing - - Preferred
