Centra Heart & Vascular Institute has a full-time opportunity for a Physician Assistant that is interested in working with our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This exciting position offers a mix of in-patient, procedural & practice-based with a collaborating physician.

Centra Heart & Vascular Institute is home to forty-two Physicians including eight Surgeons and fifty Advanced Practice Providers, all who specialize in the major disciplines of vascular surgery, endovascular & cardiology including electrophysiology, interventional, noninvasive cardiology and pediatric/adult congenital. Our physicians are board certified and are acknowledged both nationally and locally as leaders in the field of cardiovascular care. The group is supported by a full-time staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and certified technologists.

Position Details

5 days a week – 7am – 3pm most days!

• Position duties include a heavy inpatient, ½ day outpatient per week
• Night Call 1:3 to 1:4
• Participate in weekend & holiday rotation 1:3 to 1:4
• Training on the job
• Set OR blocks
• Rounding on patients
  
  

About The Team

Our Cardiothoracic team does coronary artery bypass graft, the maze procedure, aortic repairs, and valve replacement surgeries. They take pride in their APPs and their abilities in the OR and with patients, the training is very hands on with the whole team to make sure that you succeed.

Our ideal candidate must have OR experience and CTS experience is preferred.
