Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our modern, patient-focused practice in Ocean County, NJ. Specializing in respiratory and sleep disorders, our team provides exceptional care to individuals with conditions such as COPD, asthma, and interstitial lung disease. This role is ideal for a provider with experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or urgent care, who thrives in a collaborative setting and values long-term patient relationships.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pulmonary and sleep-related conditions
• Collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies (PFTs, imaging, lab work)
• Manage chronic lung diseases including COPD, asthma, and ILD
• Educate patients and families on disease management and care plans
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
• Document clinical activities in accordance with HIPAA standards

Training:

• New hires will shadow physicians to learn workflow and patient care protocols
• Training is flexible: may include hands-on or observation-heavy approaches depending on the provider
• Post-training, NPs will manage both routine and complex cases with provider support

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

• MSN degree with national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current NJ Nurse Practitioner license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience in critical care, ER, or urgent care highly preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience in pulmonary care or a related specialty
