Position Description
Job Title: Full-Time Nurse Practitioner
Location: Michigan
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (3-month assignment starting in May, with potential to extend)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (flexibility required based on patient census)
Job Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to Michigan communities. This role offers virtual care, supported by an experienced on-site team and complete administrative assistance.
Responsibilities
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will:
- Function both independently and in collaboration with physician supervision.
- Provide outpatient care to adult patients, including:
- Routine physical exams and wellness visits.
- Managing chronic conditions and follow-up appointments.
- Responding to patient medical issues and developing treatment strategies.
- Ordering diagnostic tests and referring patients to specialists when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be currently credentialed with BCBS Michigan and Aetna.
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP or equivalent) from an accredited program.
- Licensing: Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Michigan.
- Certifications: Valid DEA registration, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred Experience:
- Working with connected medical devices/IoT and health data.
- Familiarity with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.
- Thriving in fast-paced team environments.
- Personal Qualities: Passion for serving rural communities and delivering compassionate care.
