Inova APP Transition Into Practice (TIP) Program Overview: 

Inova’s TIP program is a structured, six-month initiative designed to support newly graduated nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) as they begin their clinical careers. 

Incoming APPs with less than one year of experience are considered for these new grad positions. The program offers monthly sessions that blend professional development, clinical education, and organizational orientation 

Topics discussed during this program include leadership, emotional intelligence, communication, conflict management, ethics, and legal practice, along with guidance on navigating Inova’s systems and applying evidence-based clinical tools 

Participants also have the opportunity to be paired with experienced mentors, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.   

Additional Requirements: 

Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. 

Board Certification: Board Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner 

Experience: New Graduates of 2025 and 2026 

Licensure: Virginia state license and DEA registration eligible. 

Certification: BLS, ACLS and PALS
