This Level 2 trauma center is part of a well-established healthcare system providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility utilizes Epic EMR system and offers collaborative practice environments with supportive physician teams. The trauma center is equipped with modern technology and resources to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Temporary NP coverage for a 12-week medical leave
• Inpatient setting with daily rounding, new consults, and admits
• Average of 6-12 patients per day
• Working alongside trauma attending surgeons who are available within 15 minutes or via phone
• Responsibilities include suturing minor lacerations, responding to ED trauma alerts, surgical consultations, ER admissions, facilitating discharges, and participating in house codes/rapid response team
• Complete FAST exams at bedside
• Report to oncoming APP
• General surgery coverage 5p-7a on weekdays and full 24 hours on weekends
• Diverse patient population from pediatric to geriatric (5% pediatric, 35% adult, 60% geriatric)
• Previous trauma experience required
• Must have active OH license and required certifications (ACLS, BLS, ATLS, PALS, Board Certification, DEA)
