The facility is a Level 2 trauma center providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The medical center features state-of-the-art technology including Epic EMR systems and offers a collaborative environment with multiple subspecialties available for support.

Job Details:

• Temporary coverage position for an APP on 12-week medical leave
• Inpatient setting with daily rounding, new consults, and admits
• Patient load of approximately 6-12 patients per day
• Working with trauma attending surgeons who are available within 15 minutes or via phone
• Documentation through Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include suturing minor lacerations, responding to ED trauma alerts, surgical consultations, ER admissions, facilitating discharges, and house codes/rapid response team
• Completion of FAST exams at bedside, reporting to oncoming APP, and general surgery coverage 5p-7a on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends
• Treating diverse age demographics: approximately 5% pediatric, 35% adult, and 60% geriatric patients
• Required certifications: Board Certified (NCCPA), active OH license, DEA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
• Previous trauma experience required - new graduates will not be considered
