Role Overview

This Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide virtual, evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals ages 13+ with mental health conditions. As a key member of our team, you'll perform psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and collaborate with therapists to deliver holistic care. You’ll contribute to support the continuous improvement of clinical processes and client outcomes and help build a supportive and growth-oriented culture centered around providing exceptional client care.

Core Areas of Responsibility:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse group of patients ages 13+ with mental health conditions.
• Prescribe medications safely and ethically with excellent clinical judgment.
• Utilize measurement-based care that integrates best practices and is highly responsive to client progress.
• Collaborate with therapists, when appropriate, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Provide psychoeducation to help clients better understand their mental health conditions and actively engage in their treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensure and ability to practice in the state of Wisconsin
• Active DEA licensure
• Willingness to work with our collaborating psychiatrist to provide comprehensive care
• Experience working with both adults and adolescents in a clinical setting
• Two (2) or more years of post graduate experience working directly with patients as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a telehealth setting
• Commitment to working with diverse populations and diagnoses
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensures is preferred

Skills and experience:

• Demonstrable diagnostic skills with the ability to develop individualized treatment plans that deliver exceptional clinical care
• Experience prescribing psychiatric medications and managing treatment plans for diverse populations and diagnoses in adolescents and adults
• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care delivery, with a proven ability to learn and utilize Electronic Health Records, video visit platforms, and other software to deliver and document care
• Reliable self-starter who is able to work independently and also as part of a team
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced, evolving environment is preferred
