• Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $161,000/yr (Depending on Experience)

Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey
• Certified to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New Jersey
• Current DEA, CDS, and DEA-X license
• At least two years of providing direct patient care as a Nurse Practitioner, preferred
• Maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to make decisions independently
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and document medical evaluations on inmate patients consistent with NCCHC standards of care
• Assess patients’ mental and physical status based on presenting symptoms and complaints
• Construct treatment plans for inmate patients, incorporating relapse prevention and risk management strategies
• Write prescriptions for medications as allowed by state regulations
• Monitor patients’ medication and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Document patients’ medical histories, physical assessment results, discharge summaries, and transfer orders
• Maintain effective working relationships with healthcare professionals and others
