APP – Emergency Department – DeSoto Memorial Hospital, Arcadia, FL (Fully Staffed ED) Compensation & Contract

• Hourly Rate: $85/hr (1099 independent contractor)

• Malpractice Coverage: Included, with tail protection

Department Volume & EMR

• Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 15,000 visits/year (low-volume ED)

• EMR System: Meditech with Dragon speech recognition

⏰ Shift Schedule

• Hours: 12 PM–8 PM, Monday–Friday

• Shift Requirements:

  • Full-Time: 12 shifts/month (including 2 weekend shifts)

  • Part-Time: 6 shifts/month (including 1 weekend shift)

• Holiday Coverage: Shared among staff

• Provide emergency care in a community-focused, fully staffed rural hospital

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff across all ED areas

• Efficient documentation and patient management using Meditech + Dragon

• Engage with a moderate patient volume (~15K per year), allowing thorough patient care

• 2 years of recent Hospital ER Experience required as a APP
