Position Description
Schedule: Full-Time Nurse Practitioner
- Training starts ASAP
- 4 days per week
Overview:
As an Integrative Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant with pediatric experience, you will deliver holistic, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical setting for children. This role supports our mission to integrate conventional pediatric medicine with evidence-based complementary therapies to promote optimal wellness for each child and family.
Our mission is to Inspire, Educate, and Empower families to raise healthy kids with less medications.
Clinic hours are Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Providers arrive by 8:45 AM to prepare for the day and typically finish by 5:30–6:00 PM. Providers in this position work 4 days per week and share weekend call coverage (Phone only) from Thursday at 5:00 PM to Monday at 9:00 AM. This role is ideal for a provider who values wellness, teamwork, and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including health histories, physical exams, and integrative assessments
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions using both conventional and holistic approaches
- Develop personalized wellness plans that include nutrition, lifestyle interventions, supplementation, and alternative therapies
- Educate families in holistic pediatric principles
- Collaborate closely with the MD, RNs, LDA Coordinator, and administrative staff for seamless patient care
- Guide families on supplement use in line with patient goals and clinic protocols
- Triage sick visits and provide follow-up care in person or via telehealth
- Support and oversee Low Dose Allergen (LDA) therapy, including patient education, scheduling, and clinical management
- Complete documentation, forms, and referrals for school, camp, and other health-related needs
- Share weekend phone call coverage (Thursday at 5:00 PM to Monday at 9:00 AM)
- Stay current on both conventional and integrative pediatric care practices
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Licensure
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree or Physicians Assistant degree
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant program
- Active NP or PA license in the state of North Carolina
- National certification from a recognized body in a relevant NP or PA specialty
Clinical Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a practicing NP or PA
- Recent clinical experience (within the last 5 years) as a certified NP or PA
- Pediatric experience required; integrative or holistic medicine experience strongly preferred
Skills & Attributes
- Solid knowledge of both conventional and complementary therapies
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially with pediatric patients and families
- Compassionate, child-centered approach to care
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving healthcare needs and evidence-based practices
- Familiarity with ethical and legal standards in pediatric care
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly Pay $58-60/hr
- Bonus - 3 tier bonus structure for monthly financial goals
- Current bonus per tier per month is $575
- CME - $3000 per year
- PA/NP - license covered
- Dependent health benefit in the form of clinic enrollment: child/children have an opportunity to become clinic patient(s) for a monthly rate of $10/child
