Job Description
To contribute to the teaching, scholarship, and service expectations of a faculty role in the School of Nursing. The emphasis is on teaching, scholarship, and assisting with project design and analyses.
Teach in graduate online programs which include some on campus intensives. Active participation and productivity in scholarship,
service to the University, Kasiska Division of Health Sciences (KDHS), College of Health (COH), and School of Nursing (SON) consistent with promotion policies in the SON, COH, KDHS, and the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graduate courses each semester as determined in consultation with the DNP Coordinator and Graduate Nursing Studies Director
- Site visits to clinical sites as determined by the DNP Coordinator
- Chair student DNP projects as assigned by the DNP Coordinator
- Develop/lead in-person intensives as needed
- Assist with DNP curriculum review/development
- Advise and monitor progress of students in the DNP program
- Service and Scholarship as defined by the University
- Maintain certification and licensure
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field
- Hold certification and unencumbered U.S. license (eligible to be licensed in Idaho) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Demonstrated ability to teach clinically or academically
- At least 2 years of clinical practice
Clinical Assistant Professor:
- Demonstrated ability to teach in the clinical or academic setting
- Potential for future scholarship, research, and grants/contracts
Clinical Associate Professor all of the above plus the following:
- Teaching experience with evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Record of scholarship with dissemination in peer reviewed outlets
- Record of professional service at the local, regional or state level
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated competence with evidence-based project improvement design and basic statistical analyses
- Prior experience with funded grants
- Previous experience teaching nurse practitioner students
Additional Information
You must submit your CV/resume, cover letter, verification of RN/APRN Idaho License, and list of three (3) professional references, including current contact information. Salary range will be dependent upon rank as follows, commensurate with education and experience.
- Clinical Assistant Professor - $74,265- $80,000 per year
- Clinical Associate Professor - $80,000 - $86,000 per year
