Under general direction, working independently within established protocols and policies exercising initiative and judgment in direct patient care. Documents and reviews patient medical history performs patient examination, and assesses current status/condition. Determines proper diagnosis, plans treatment and education programs including prescribing medication within licensed parameters. Seeks consultation and initiates referrals as necessary.

This position works 2 days in the Heart Success Clinic at hospital and 3 days at the 110 Liberty St Cardiology Clinic

Graduate of a state approved school of nursing with BS or MS and completion of certified (by either ANA or NCBPNP/N) Nurse Practitioner program. Current licensure for Nurse Practitioner by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing. Must possess a minimum of 1 year experience with working in an Urgent Care setting. Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese Creole preferred. Network Information Exchange Access Level: 2. At least 2 years expereince working as an NP, preferably in Cardiology.
