Physician's Assistant - Neurosurgery

**Job Details:**
• Perform daily rounds and post-operative visits, documenting appropriately and communicating with attending • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' medical and physical status, including H&Ps and neurosurgical consultations • Assist in surgeries including lumbar, cervical, and cranial procedures • Manage pre/post-operative setup and documentation including admission/discharge orders • Coordinate with other departments and consultants for inpatient care and discharge planning • Order and interpret patient testing such as lab work and imaging • Perform therapeutic/corrective measures including EVD, myelograms, and lumbar punctures • Manage drains, suture placement, and dressing changes • Provide patients, families, and nursing staff with education and discharge instructions • Weekend commitment required • Qualifications: BS in Physician Assistant studies, NCCPA certification, Maryland State PA license • Two years neurosurgical experience or surgical residency preferred • Current CDS, DEA, BLS/ACLS certifications required
