ECU Health and The Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head, NC, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to help pick up shifts in the Emergency Department. New providers will need to come in the day before schedule for orientation. Need as soon as credentialed.

Established team of 6 physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants

18 acute care medical-surgical beds, 2 labor and delivery/recovery beds, 1 level II nursery bed and 3 operating rooms, a designated caesarian section room, and a 24-hour emergency department

Specialty consultation available including general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, and telestroke

BLS, ACLS, and PALS/APLS certifications required (through American Heart Association)

NC DEA Required

Average Total Inpatient Census: 20

No ICU/Critical Care Duties

Provider is responsible for responding to codes

ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients

System-wide EMR (EPIC)
