Position Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a committed and energetic Primary Care Physician to join a team of highly skilled clinicians in delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-focused care. The practice emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and building long-term relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will have a background in Primary Care or Internal Medicine within an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care with an emphasis on preventive medicine and chronic disease management
  • Conduct routine physical exams, annual wellness visits, health screenings, and follow-up visits
  • Diagnose and manage common illnesses and minor injuries
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies
  • Collaborate with specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) and support proper billing practices
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans

Qualifications

  • Licensed MD in the state of Maryland (Required)
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in a primary care or outpatient clinical setting
  • Current DEA and CDS licenses and CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Proficient in electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems

Schedule & On-Call Requirements

  • Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, with a choice of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • There are on-call responsibilities approximately 9-10 weeks per year, including weekends and nights.
  • Please note: On-call duties are primarily phone-based and do not require hospital visits. Providers are expected to be available for consults or urgent issues but not for in-person care during on-call hours.
