Job Details – Nurse Practitioner Locum Tenens

• Location: Yakima, WA 98902 – Located in Washington's wine country, offering beautiful scenery, a welcoming community, and abundant outdoor recreation. Ideal for nurse practitioners seeking Washington healthcare jobs.
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3,700–$4,380 per week
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (contract/travel nurse practitioner job)
• Setting: Outpatient clinic with a 16-chair infusion center
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per day
• Support: Partner medical assistant and RN support; one administrative day per week (may include patient visits as needed)
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license (Washington state required for consideration)
• Minimum 1 year of hematology/oncology experience as an advanced practice provider
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in both hematology and oncology patient care
• Experience performing bone marrow biopsies preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Clean credentialing history preferred (expedited privileges available)

Key Responsibilities – Acute Care Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner

• Deliver comprehensive acute care for hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting
• Perform bone marrow biopsies as needed
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and medical assistants to provide high-quality clinical support
• Manage approximately 15 patient encounters per day
• Utilize one administrative day per week for documentation and care coordination (may include patient visits)
• Coordinate care for patients requiring infusion therapy in a 16-chair infusion center
• Ensure safe transfer of patients with severe infusion reactions to the nearby hospital as necessary
