Position Description
Summary
A rapidly growing medical practice is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in Orthopedics and/or Pain Management to support the opening of a new office in Dorchester. This practice promotes appropriate medical management with limited use of narcotics and serves both insurance and personal injury patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and follow-up patient exams and evaluations
- Obtain and review medical histories; conduct physical assessments
- Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing
- Document patient care and update records accurately within eClinicalWorks
- Potentially perform therapeutic procedures including trigger point injections
- Maintain a safe, compliant work environment
- Coordinate and consult with physicians as needed (oversight typically once per week)
- Communicate with external stakeholders such as attorneys and other providers
- Support practice growth through excellent clinical service and leadership

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Massachusetts PA or NP license with full prescribing and practice privileges
- NPI number required
- Minimum 3–5 years of orthopedic or pain management experience
- Certification in a relevant specialty is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity or willingness to learn eClinicalWorks
- Must be local to Massachusetts and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to travel for training (20 days at the practice’s headquarters in Georgia)
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and use of medical tools
- Full audio and visual acuity required
- Occasional emergency response duties
