Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Pulmonary

Location: Bronx, NY (Onsite)

Compensation

Pay Range: $135,000 - $145,000 Per year

Description

Join a dedicated pulmonology team to provide patient care.

Collaborate with physicians to manage respiratory conditions.

Work in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Support procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis.

Educate patients on treatment plans and lifestyle changes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments for pulmonary patients.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

Manage chronic respiratory diseases with physician collaboration.

Assist or perform specific procedures based on credentials.

Provide inpatient consults and discharge planning.

Prescribe medications within scope of practice.

Maintain documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited PA program or NP with a relevant concentration.

Current state licensure as a PA or NP.

National certification (NCCPA for PAs; AANP/ANCC for NPs).

DEA license and prescriptive authority.

BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred for pediatric care.

1-2 years of experience in pulmonary, internal medicine, or critical care preferred.

New graduates with relevant clinical training considered.
