Position Description

Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Setting: Outpatient

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APN) to join our team in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients experiencing pain and disability due to neuromuscular, vascular, and orthopedic conditions or injuries.

The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with our physicians to coordinate diagnostic evaluations, treatments, and care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician passionate about improving quality of life for patients with chronic and acute pain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans, including physical therapy, intra-articular injections, and spinal injections.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making regarding diagnostic studies such as X-rays, MRIs, vascular testing, and electromyography (EMG).
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and consultants as needed.
  • Assist physicians in medication management, including pain medications, with attention to safe prescribing practices.
  • Perform thorough examinations with a strong focus on orthopedic and neuromuscular systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and effective patient triage.
  • Contribute to high standards of care in both outpatient and nursing home settings.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APN), preferably in Adult Care.
  • Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey.
  • Current DEA and CDS registrations in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing patients with chronic and acute pain.
  • Experience in nursing home settings is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic and neuromuscular assessments.
  • Additional preferences: IV placement skills, Spanish language proficiency, strong typing/documentation skills.
