Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at LoneStar Urgent Care. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care while embodying the LoneStar Way. You will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, and providing treatment in a fast-paced urgent care environment. This position follows a rotating schedule, including some weekends, and offers the opportunity to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging.
• Prescribe medications and develop patient care plans.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Document visits accurately using electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
• Including sutures, incision and drainage (I&D), splinting, wound care, foreign body removal, and more. Candidates should be comfortable performing or assisting with these procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• National Board Certification (FNP, AGNP, ACNP, etc.).
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.
• Comfortable working independently with strong clinical judgment.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time 1099 position
• Clinic is open 7 days a week
• Rotating shifts including weekends

Compensation and Structure:

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
