Position Description

  • Role: Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Surgery Team
  • Shift: Full-time daytime hours (exact times not specified)
  • Start Date: Immediate preferred

Requirements

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program

Certifications:

  • NP Certification (ANCC or AANPCB)
  • BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
  • DEA license

Experience:

  • 3+ years in cardiac/cardiovascular surgery
  • ICU patient management
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting

Licensure:

  • Full prescriptive authority
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership

Compliance:

  • Must be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
  • No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA

Responsibilities

  • Assist in cardiac surgeries (including vein harvesting)
  • Manage ICU and CV surgical patients
  • Participate in 2 full-day clinics weekly
  • Rotate OR coverage Monday–Friday
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and medications
  • Perform bedside procedures
  • Provide thorough documentation
  • Maintain CME and licensure compliance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,588 – $143,769/year (based on experience)
  • Bonuses: Quality and productivity
