It features a Level II Trauma Center with more than 20 operating rooms and 3 DaVinci robots, providing advanced surgical care across multiple specialties. The hospital maintains a robust surgical program with over 30 surgeons credentialed on the robotic platform.

Opportunity:
Physician Assistant - General Surgery

Job Details:
• Immediate start through December 31, 2025 with option to remain credentialed PRN afterward
• Monday-Friday schedule, 8-hour shifts (approximately 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., flexible start/end times)
• No call requirements
• Primary role involves bedside first-assisting in robotic surgical cases (GYN, urology, general surgery, bariatrics)
• Responsible for placement of ports and closure of port sites
• Occasional assistance in non-robotic cases as needed
• May handle discharges/departure documentation and outpatient prescriptions
• Work alongside surgeons and residents in all cases (senior residents typically at console)
• Support from scrub techs and circulating nurses
• Local candidates preferred; hotel and mileage reimbursed if approved
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-120 days (temporary credentials have been approved)
• Requirements: NCCPA Board Certification, active Michigan license
• Must have minimum 2-3 years with robotic bedside first-assist experience in GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatrics
• BLS and ACLS certification through AHA required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
