This hospital is a respected healthcare provider featuring a 16-bed Level III NICU unit with comprehensive neonatal care capabilities. The facility uses EPIC electronic medical record system and offers excellent support with neonatologists present during the day and on-call 24 hours, along with a dedicated team of 6 full-time and 1 per diem pediatric mid-level providers.

Board Certified - Neonatology/experienced NICU PA

Job Details:
• Weekend coverage needed for 12 and/or 24 hour shifts due to LOA and staff reduction • Manage Level III NICU with 16-bed capacity and provide coverage for well-baby nursery during night shifts • Average 8-9 patients per day with 0-2 admissions per shift • Required to attend C-sections and provide Level I (Well-Baby) nursery coverage • Supervise RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff as needed • Must have active NY license and be comfortable managing patients independently • Perform various required procedures including: • Ventilation management (invasive ETT and non-invasive BiPAP/CPAP) • Chest tube insertion • Exchange transfusions • UAC/UVC placement and LPs • Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues • Insertion of central and arterial lines • Diagnostic/therapeutic taps • No transport requirement - regional Level IV NICU is approximately 5 minutes away • Facility will reimburse for flight, hotel, and rental car expenses

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
