• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nurse Practitioner Contract)

• End Date: June 30, 2026
• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm typical; operating days may start at 7:00am; call coverage required (5 days/month plus one weekend every 5-6 weeks)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (varied start times based on clinic or OR schedule)
• Patient Encounters per Shift: 20-22
• Guaranteed Hours: 8 per day
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3,440 - $3,690

Qualifications – Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license (required for California healthcare jobs)
• Active California DEA license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Orthopedic Surgery or Acute Care
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Ability to provide current case logs for surgical specialties
• Explanation required for clinical gaps over 3 months
• Credentialing process: 60-90 days

Primary Responsibilities – Orthopedic Surgery NP

• Assist with a broad range of orthopedic surgeries and clinical procedures
• Deliver acute care services in both hospital and clinic settings
• Participate in hospital rounds prior to clinic as needed
• Manage patient care during clinic hours and on-call shifts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters
• Participate in scheduled call coverage (5 days/month and one weekend every 5-6 weeks)
