Position Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional looking to make a We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team at Lewis Family Medicine & Urgent Care in Dripping Springs, Texas.

This unique position is hybrid in nature:

  • You’ll care for family practice patients to provide continuity of care, build long-term relationships, and manage preventative and chronic conditions.
  • You’ll also treat urgent care patients, managing same-day visits, acute illnesses, minor injuries, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Current Texas NP or PA license
  • Experience in primary care and/or urgent care preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine the relationships of family practice with the fast-paced variety of urgent care, we’d love to hear from you. This position starts as a part-time position with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position.

Position Details:

  • Location: Dripping Springs, Texas
  • Weekly schedule: 1 Family Medicine shift 8:00am to 5:00pm, 1 WFH/Telemed shift 8:00am to 5:00pm, 1 rotating Urgent Care shift every other Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm and every other Saturday 8:00am to 3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across the lifespan.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physician, specialists, and other healthcare team members.
  • Educate patients and families on preventive care and management of chronic conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Active Texas medical license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urgent care or family medicine.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of Athena is desired, but not required.
