Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time Nights
Shifts: 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours per week)
Rotating Weekends & Holidays
No Call Requirement
Location: Texas Medical Center (8% geographical differential included)
Credentialing: 2-3 month process

Requirements

Education/Certification:

AGACNP (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) certification required

Experience:

2+ years of RN or NP Critical Care experience required
Cardiology experience preferred
New NPs must have at least 2+ years of ICU RN experience

Training: Device training provided - patient populations include VV/VA ECMO, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Heart & Lung Transplants, LVAD, and Post-Op Cardiac Surgery patients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Deliver care across the disease process, from admission to in-hospital follow-up.
Ensure adherence to the Texas Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards of care.
