Facility:
This established hospital features a Level III NICU with 16 beds and comprehensive neonatal care services. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR system and offers strong provider support with a collaborative care team of neonatologists, mid-level providers, and specialized nursing staff.

Board Certified - Neonatology/experienced NICU PA

Job Details:
• Long-term, full-time coverage with 7 days on/7 days off schedule (12-hour shifts, days or nights)
• Practice setting: Level III NICU with 16-bed unit
• Average 8-9 patients per day with 0-2 admissions per shift
• Required to attend C-sections
• Coverage includes Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery, especially during night shifts
• Work alongside 3 full-time neonatologists and a team of 6 pediatric mid-levels plus 1 per diem
• Neonatologist present during day shifts and available on-call 24 hours
• Must be comfortable managing patients independently
• Responsible for supervising RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff as needed
• No transport requirements - regional Level IV NICU center nearby manages all transports
• Required procedures include: ventilation management (invasive/non-invasive), chest tube insertion, exchange transfusions, UAC/UVC placement, LPs, management of acute volume/BP issues, central and arterial line insertion, and diagnostic/therapeutic taps
• Must have active NY medical license
• Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, and rental car

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
