Compensation: $135,200 – $147,680 annually + benefits

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) to join our Cardiology team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions, with a strong focus on heart failure management, acute care, and critical care collaboration.

You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary cardiac team dedicated to delivering high-quality patient outcomes in cardiology and cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop individualized care plans
• Manage complex cardiac cases including heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and post-operative cardiac care
• Perform advanced clinical procedures within scope of practice
• Prescribe and manage medications in alignment with evidence-based practice and state regulations
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and preventive care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and staff education
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state/federal regulations, and professional standards of care.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Current Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certification
• Active Texas RN and NP license
• Certification by one of the following:
• ANCC, NCC, AANP, or AACN (Acute Care NP Certification)
• BLS & ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (RN or NP) in Cardiology / Cardiac Care / Cardiovascular Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing heart failure patients
• Acute Care NP experience in hospital or specialty clinic
• Previous ICU RN experience in Cardiovascular or Heart Failure units
