Make an impact on your patient’s life as a Physician Assistant, a licensed medical provider, for Vascular Surgery patients. Under the supervision of an attending surgeon/physician, you would be aiding in the management of your patients in a variety of areas: outpatient, inpatient, peri-operative and intra-operative care. You would extend the services of the attending surgeon/physician by: acting as a liaison for the supervising physician, obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting imaging, laboratory and other diagnostic tests, prescribing medications & therapies, performing and assisting in common bedside/office procedures, as well as assisting in the operating room.

Position

Physician Assistant PA-C or Nurse Practitioner, NP - Perioperative - Vascular Surgery

Shift

Full Time, 40 hours/week. 4 -10 hour day shifts

Experience

2 years' experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse practitioner required.

Education

1 year experience in Vascular Surgery preferred

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program
  
  

Licensures/Certifications

• Must be Certified ( PA-C ) by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) or Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
• Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
• Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred.
• Refer to the Specialty Addendum.
• Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
