MSH is partnering with a Children's Clinic to find a Pediatric NP for their office in Fredericksburg VA.

Position Summary:

The Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive pediatric care across both primary and urgent care settings. This includes health maintenance exams, acute sick visits, chronic disease management, and patient/family education. The PNP works collaboratively with physicians and the broader healthcare team to ensure high-quality, family-centered care in a flexible, patient-focused environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine well-child exams, developmental screenings, and anticipatory guidance

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries

• Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and treatment plans

• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and screenings

• Document all encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

• Educate families on diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and home care instructions

• Support vaccination compliance and safety protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure seamless patient care

• Respond to patient messages, prescription refills, and lab follow-up in a timely manner

• Participate in quality improvement and clinical meetings as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Virginia

• Board Certification as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) or FNP with pediatric experience

• DEA registration and active prescriptive authority

• BLS and PALS certifications

• Minimum 2–3 years pediatric outpatient or urgent care experience preferred

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
