The nurse practitioner performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents. As an advanced practice nurse, this role involves independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team. The NP enhances the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team. If this position is based in a perioperative setting they will be required to perform clinical procedures outlined by the individual department requirements. Overall, this position is critical in leading quality and evidence based care initiatives that will result in achieving optimal patient outcomes and improved patient satisfaction.

Full Time, 40 hours/week. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. No Weekend or Holidays. On call required on a rotating schedule

Experience
- 1 year Clinical Nurse Practitioner experience required
- 2 years Endocrinology experience preferred
- Completion of an Nurse Practitioner program required.
- MSN required
- Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- BLS certification required
- Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved
