Medical Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

About Us

Pyramid Healthcare of Asheville is seeking a Medical Provider (NP or PA) to join our dedicated team. Since 1999, Pyramid Healthcare has grown to operate more than 80 programs across 8 states, offering a full continuum of behavioral health services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct history and physicals for new admissions
• Review labs, monitor blood levels, and manage sick call
• Prepare discharges, including physician orders and prescriptions (if prescriptive authority applies)
• Coordinate with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and nursing staff to support comprehensive treatment planning
• Ensure medication cost-effectiveness for clients post-discharge and complete prior authorizations as needed
• Participate in and complete the peer review process
• Provide medical oversight and support to adult residential and detox programs
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Active medical license in North Carolina (FNP, CRNP, PA, PMHNP, etc.)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting
• Preferred: direct training and clinical work in substance use disorder care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient-centered, ethical care
