Nurse Practitioner wanted for General Internal Medicine (GIM) at Sinai Hospital

Sinai Hospital, a regional medical campus for George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences (GWSMHS), serves the people of greater Baltimore as well as national and international patients. As a nonprofit teaching hospital, Sinai provides training for more than 140 residents and 400 medical students yearly.

Sinai Hospital, an academic medical center, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our GIM team. This is a full-time, outpatient, employed position.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and active Nurse Practitioner license (APN, APRN, or NP)
• Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) license
• Minimum of 1 year of ambulatory care experience preferred, ideally in a primary care setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records
  
  

The Opportunity

• Full-time, hospital-employed, outpatient opportunity with great benefits
• Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
• The practice currently consists of 5 physicians, 3 APPs with Medical Assistants and RNs as part of the support team.
• You will have the opportunity to manage your diverse patient panel
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Ability to examine, diagnose, and treat or recommend courses of treatment
• Advise, order, and perform appropriate tests and interpret results
• Discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and provide advice on medications and other preventative measures.
• Carry out follow-up appointments, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, update patient records, and make referrals as needed.
• Remain up to date on current best practices, developments, trends, research, and technology
